I’ve got a funny feeling this little dish is in for some heavy duty modelling sessions over the next few days. Luckily there are two cute-as-a-button princesses, sorry, faeries, ready and willing to take over if needed. I’ll tell you the backstory – it’s only short.
Whenever I’m in the kitchen or laundry, nothing gives my youngest boy more pleasure than pushing and twirling the various controls on the washer/dryer/oven and listening to the glorious beeps, followed by my shrieks and yelling. Apparently I look quite amusing too and he is entertained thoroughly.
As he’s gotten older he’s learned about what he’s not allowed to do and behaves much better. I too have gotten my tantrums under control. Mostly.
However.
The washing machine is his downfall.
He cannot resist the lights and beeps, combined with a lovely dial to turn. It’s like baby Vegas.
Now he has learned a new skill.

The “who me?” of toddler expressions.
Looking at this photo I almost believe he can whistle.
