After one of ‘those’ nappies, Grady had a late bath last night. A l-a-t-e bath. Everyone else was sleeping.
How they managed to stay asleep, I don’t know. ‘Cause that boy was enjoying his bath.
It’s the simple things that amuse me too (as you can tell by the number of shots I took in 15 minutes).
I’ll tell you the backstory – it’s only short.
Whenever I’m in the kitchen or laundry, nothing gives my youngest boy more pleasure than pushing and twirling the various controls on the washer/dryer/oven and listening to the glorious beeps, followed by my shrieks and yelling. Apparently I look quite amusing too and he is entertained thoroughly.
As he’s gotten older he’s learned about what he’s not allowed to do and behaves much better. I too have gotten my tantrums under control. Mostly.
However.
The washing machine is his downfall.
He cannot resist the lights and beeps, combined with a lovely dial to turn. It’s like baby Vegas.
Now he has learned a new skill.
This face.
The “who me?” of toddler expressions.
Looking at this photo I almost believe he can whistle.
So – here comes the beg – I’ve entered this image into the 2011 Centro Smile competition.
Ideally we’d like to win enough money to buy the boy his own washing machine to play with (this *may* be untrue). But the best part is, you can win $1000, yes that’s right YOU COULD WIN $1000 just for voting
Please, please, vote for my gorgeous (he’s mine, I’m biased) baby boy and maybe win yourself some moula too.
Would you like to have a one on one lesson, in your own home, teaching you how to take better photos of your baby?
Both your photos and mine will be featured in a blog tutorial.
Don’t worry about having a magazine home – I’ll help you make it look like you do (we all know no one really lives like that, don’t we?)
The lucky volunteer will receive FIVE digital files for their time and effort, as well as the skills to go forward and take better photos on their own in future!

Oh, and for anyone who wants some tips and tricks for newborn photos, special offers for portraits, competitions and something to laugh at if you're up at 3am for whatever reason.
