Mum’s Night Out is.. That’s a hard one to answer.

The lovely ladies over at Real Mums have a few events they call Mental Health Moments.
“Imagine this … you get to spend a few hours amongst some fun, like-minded and amazing women. There are no kids. You get to sit … and stay seated! Whilst someone asks you what you would like to eat and drink. Then they bring it to you!”

Of course, you didn’t have to stay seated, if you didn’t want to. You could dance if you preferred. You could do whatever you want, because there was no one in the venue relying on you for anything. Just a whole bunch of other women, who started the night looking around…. waiting for the floor to fall out from under them – because it just couldn’t be real. This night of doing nothing but what you want. Laughing! Dancing! Some mums chose to sit and FB on their phones, completely uninterrupted – except for lovely waiters bringing delish noms for you to snack on!

This year Pampered Mummies had a make-up stand set up. Ready to rescue anyone who’s make-up was starting to fail them. Next to them was the Mummyseuss with her massage chair and magic hands. Complimentary of course – this night is about relaxing, not a hard sell.

There were giveaways and competitions. And the DJ was taking requests – who asked for the Nutbush?

Oh, and on arrival, each Mum gets her own goody bag. Packed full of delicious treats and fantastic special offers! When I have 5 minutes to scratch myself I’ll write a post about that too. I can tell you that there WAS a lovely block of Lindt white choc – nom! And there WAS a small Lindt block of dark choc orange choc – again, nom!
If you get in early next year and score yourself a ticket – I’ll see you there – Mum’s Night Out 2012, the countdown has begun!!

Forever in love with photography,

Leave a comment to let me know you've dropped by.
